Your notebook/laptop can
be setup to use one of the following office suites:
Microsoft Office
This is the most popular office suite of the lot.
Although quite expensive its feature set and compatibility with
other users is not surpassed.
Microsoft Works
This is a cut down version of Microsoft Office.
Since it does include the full version of Microsoft Word it may be of
interest to people who do not use the other options.
Sun StarOffice
This office suite has been gaining in popularity with the release of
version 6. If you do not require 100% compatibility of Microsoft Office
then you may like to consider StarOffice as it is cheaper than Microsoft
Office yet just as powerful.
OpenOffice.org
This is what StarOffice is based on. While it does
not have some of the features of StarOffice (mainly templates and a
database), OpenOffice.org is completely free.
