This can either be set to run manually or automatically at a specified
time. Also available is the ability to scan all incoming and outgoing
e-mail for viruses, stopping them from even getting to the end user.
The server can also keep it's virus definitions up-to-date

definitions?
Virus definitions hold information on what each virus
looks like. By keeping these up to date you ensure that the latest
viruses are detected.
Do I need any virus checking software on my workstations?
The virus scanner on the server can only detect viruses which are on shared folders. It is recommended you have virus scanning software on each desktop as well.
