So what sort of Internet connection is required?

Any always-on Internet connection is fine,  however a broadband connection is preferred. Also you should check with your Internet Service Provider if running servers is allowed on your network. VG Computing will assist you in identifying and installing your Internet connection if required.

Do I need a static IP address?

No, but it is preferred.

My ISP blocks the standard mail port (port 25).  Can I still run a mail server?

Although it is preferred to have access to port 25 it is still possible to run a mail servers on your computer using redirection techniques. We will advise you on what is required to accomplish this.

Can I add and remove a mail account at any time?

Yes.

Which mail server software do you use?

We use postfix and courier-imap.
